This marks the official 1,000th build/release of the Oasis Desktop (formerly known as Datamark) application! Yes, it started at #0000 waaay back in the late 1990's when it was first created as a Crystal Reports front-end for Pelton Reforestation. Crystal Reports is long gone. And ironically so is Pelton Reforestation. But Datamark lives on under its new name, Oasis Desktop.
Seems unlikely that Oasis Desktop will survive long enough to see the 2,000th build/release, but we can hope! I certainly had a particular vision for where this would go, and it hasn't really varied much from its original purpose. I had perhaps hoped there would be more users of the system, but that is something that may very well change in the not-too-distant future!
This also coincides with the launch (relaunch?) of the 500 Foods website. The idea is that from this point forward, all updates for all projects will appear in their respective blogs. Other systems are also now in place to keep track of files, bug reports and the like, so there will be considerably more management information going forward. Some data from the former GNUMatrix Community site will also be brought in as time and resources permit.
