When creating Data Entry Presets it is easy to overlook some of these potential time-savers.

  1. Any field that is filled in is saved as part of the Preset.  So if you've filled in the value for Zone, it will be saved, for example. If you've got something entered into any of the Data fields, these values will become part of the preset as well.
  2. You can clear a value that has been entered into any field either by double-clicking on the field, hitting ESC or BACKSPACE when the field has focus and is highlighted, or by clicking on the label that appears to the left of the field.
  3. When a Preset is applied, any fields that were blank when the Preset was created are left unchanged.  So if the Zone field was blank when the Preset was created, any value currently in the Zone field will be left as-is when the Preset is selected.  This is deliberate.  The idea is that you can have a preset that then works across multiple Zones, for example.  This applies to all of the fields.
