A new feature has been added to the 500 Foods website that allows visitors (anonymous or otherwise) to rate or "star" content on the site. A rating of 1-5 stars can be assigned to posts in our own Container Culture, Better Than Organic and News from Here blogs as well as the stories collected in the News from Elsewhere section. Users with an account can also rate content in the Product Updates section.
We use this information to help gauge and guide the quality of content being posted on the site. There are many sites that publish similar content, of course. The idea is to provide the means for visitors to provide feedback and help direct our efforts in creating, collecting and curating content that has value to them. Visitors can also make use of this same information in order to help find content that may be more relevant to them.
